Their subsequent albums The Carpenter (2012) and Magpie and the Dandelion (2013) both charted in the top 5 on the Billboard 200, while their 2016 album True Sadness debuted at #1 and earned two Grammy nominations.
Their 2024 album, The Avett Brothers, features songs that emerged organically over time. Inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame and honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association, the band is also set for the Broadway debut of Swept Away, a musical inspired by their music.
